WordPress Custom Plugin Development

A rapidly growing training academy approached miahtech to provide a solution for a variety of issues and or limitations currently being faced on their website.

The Challenge

The client required a simple solution to handle course registrations but didn't want to change the site too much. They also wanted the ability to vet their registrants and the ability to capture registrant details electronically, to replace their current manual approach

Our Solution

• Designed and developed a custom wordpress plugin interacting with their existing database, to store registrant details.
• Integrated a dashboard / management screen to view, amend, delete any new registrants as well as add note related to outcome of vetting.
• Implemented a secure form for registrants to fill out, capturing all necessary details and securely storing them in the database.
• Ensured the plugin was fully compatible with the existing WordPress theme and other plugins.
• Provided comprehensive documentation and training to the client's team for managing the plugin.
• Set up a staging environment for testing and validation before going live.
• Set up a shared mailbox for the team to receive notifications of new registrations.
• Allowed multi language support for the registration form, to allow for a wider audience.

The Results

The new registration flow easily allowed users to register interest on the course, this new functionality made the complex vetting and registrant status process much more easier and efficient for the admin team to manage.
